Lo studio, commissionato dalla Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) della Commissione Europea mira ad effettuare un’analisi accurata delle attività e dei bisogni delle imprese operanti in Europa nei settori culturali e creativi. Lo studio analizzerà i fattori “ambientali”, in particolare gli aspetti regolatori, che influenzano lo sviluppo di queste imprese così come l’accesso ai finanziamenti e la ricerca e sviluppo.
Le imprese nel settore culturale e creativo hanno ottenuto ottimi risultati negli ultimi anni. Allo stesso tempo, però, devono essere in grado di approfittare sempre più delle opportunità offerte dal mercato interno dell'Unione Europea nonché di adattarsi a un ambiente in rapida evoluzione, caratterizzato in particolare da una spiccata globalizzazione e da una rivoluzione tecnologica (digital-shift) in atto. Questi sviluppi richiedono nuove competenze nel settore e nuovi modelli di business.
Basandosi su precedenti studi e ricerche, lo Studio sull’imprenditorialità nel settore culturale (titolo originale: “Study on the entrepreneurial dimension of cultural and creative industries”) mira a fornire alla Commissione Europea una migliore comprensione delle operazioni e delle esigenze specifiche di queste imprese, focalizzandosi, in particolare, sulle Piccole e Medie Imprese (PMI).
Questo studio è condotto da un team di esperti in materia di imprenditorialità culturale ed è supervisionato dal Prof. Dr. Giep Hagoort della Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) nei Paesi Bassi.
Al fine di raggiungere gli obiettivi preposti, il gruppo di ricerca è impegnato sia in attività di ricerca qualitativa, eseguendo analisi tramite fonti bibliografiche, sia quantitativa, tramite l’analisi di dati e tramite questionari sviluppati per indagare la realtà dei mercati in oggetto, le barriere esistenti e gli sviluppi in corso.
All’interno di questo studio, Eurokleis svolge il ruolo principale nella raccolta e analisi dei dati quantitativi, sia attraverso indagini statistiche sia attraverso lo sviluppo di questionari ad hoc, la loro distribuzione e la loro analisi.
